Pond Algae & Blanket Weed Treatments
Algae can be an ongoing problem for you especially in the summer months. It is a problem which should never be addressed by emptying the pond. Changing your matured water will remove all of the good bacteria that it needs to prosper and will merely create a better environment for the algae to thrive. Pond treatments are a more effective course of action and can be used to rid your pond of both blanket weed and green water.
At Krafty Koi you will discover pond algae treatments from the leading aquatic brands including Nishikoi, NT Labs and Gemini. You should clear as much blanket weed as you are able to before you begin your treatment program otherwise the weed will rot at the bottom of your pond and you will require a pond vacuum to clear it. Algae can be addressed using natural bacteria treatments, chemical products in the form of dyes and herbicides and also UV Clarifiers.
